About Jade West

Jade West was created to celebrate the beauty, grit, and spirit of the modern West. Rooted in Northern California, our magazine is dedicated to women who feel most at home beneath open skies, on winding backroads, and surrounded by the wild places that make this region so special. Through stories on the outdoors, western fashion, country living, food, travel, horses, and the remarkable women who call the West home, we strive to preserve and share a lifestyle built on authenticity, adventure, and connection to the land.

Founded by Keenan, a South African native who now proudly calls America home, Jade West is deeply inspired by a love for nature, freedom, and western culture. Growing up in South Africa, Keenan spent her childhood riding horses, running barefoot, and embracing a life rooted in the outdoors. Today, she shares that passion with her husband, Mitchell, a proud military veteran who grew up hunting, hiking, and exploring the wild places of Northern California. Together, they believe in preserving the traditions, values, and sense of adventure that make the West so special.

Every issue is created with the intention of celebrating the natural beauty, rich traditions, and resilient people of the American West.
